§ TERMS OF SERVICE

The terms for using Crux

LAST UPDATED · 10 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the usecrux.io website and, once it launches, the Crux iOS app (together, the Service). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

Who we are

The Service is operated by Lumitrope Labs Ltd (company no. 17217045, registered office: 111 New Union Street, Coventry, CV1 2NT), a company registered in England & Wales (“Crux”, “we”, “us”). Questions about these terms: hello@usecrux.io.

What Crux is — and is not

Crux is a market-monitoring utility. You write conditions in plain language (“BTC closes above its 50-week MA”), and Crux watches market data and notifies you when a condition is met. That is the whole product.

Crux is not an investment adviser, broker, dealer, or financial institution, and nothing in the Service — conditions, alerts, watchlists (including watchlists shared by other users), templates, readings, or any other content — is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any asset. Conditions describe facts to watch, not actions to take. Any decision you make, and any result of it, is yours alone. If you need investment advice, consult a regulated professional.

No reliance on alerts or data

Market data comes from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Alerts depend on those sources, on our infrastructure, and on delivery systems (such as Apple push notifications) that we don’t control. Alerts can therefore be late, duplicated, or missed entirely. Do not rely on Crux as your only means of monitoring a position or executing anything time-critical.

Your account

Subscriptions and billing

The app’s paid features are sold as an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple App Store account, at the price shown in the app before you subscribe. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. You can cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service. In particular, don’t:

Shared watchlists and creator content

Crux may let you publish watchlists of conditions and adopt watchlists published by others. Shared watchlists are their creator’s own work, not ours — we don’t verify, endorse, or vouch for them, and adopting one is not a recommendation. If you publish a watchlist, you grant us the licence needed to display and distribute it within the Service, you confirm it’s yours to share, and you must not present it as investment advice.

Our content

The Service — its software, design, brand, and content other than your own — belongs to Lumitrope Labs Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules. These terms don’t transfer any ownership to you.

Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running, but we don’t promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features (or the Service) at any time. If we discontinue a paid service entirely, Apple’s refund rules apply to any remaining subscription period.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability we can’t exclude by law (including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud). Subject to that: we are not liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, or other indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including loss caused by delayed, missed, or inaccurate alerts or data. Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us for the Service in that period (or £50 if you paid nothing).

Apple

The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they apply to the app, and may enforce them against you.

Ending things

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if we’re required to by law, or if we wind down the Service. Clauses that by their nature should survive (including “No reliance”, “Liability”, and “Our content”) survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections and forum rights your local law gives you that can’t be agreed away.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we’ll update the date above and give you notice in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy

How we handle your data is covered by the Privacy Policy. Privacy questions go to privacy@usecrux.io.
